About the Swift Boat - Patrol Craft Fast:
Officially named a Patrol Craft Fast (PCF for short) by the U.S. Navy, these boats were commonly referred to as a Swift Boats by those who served on them during the Vietnam War. First used during Operation Market Time to intercept supplies, Swift Boats aided in special operations, such as gunfire support, troop insertion and evacuation, and raids into enemy territory along the rivers and canals of the Mekong Delta and the Ca Mau peninsula.
