The Henry repeating rifle is a lever-action tubular magazine rifle. It is famous for having been used at the Battle of the Little Bighorn and having been the basis for the iconic Winchester rifle of the American Wild West.
The original 1860 Henry repeating rifle was used primarily by Union soldiers during the American Civil War and later by frontier civilians and Native American warriors, famously earning the nickname "that damned Yankee rifle that you could load on Sunday and shoot all week long."
